Tamilnadu College of Engineering was sponsored by Tamilnadu Technical Education Foundation (Regd.) established in the year 1984. The Institution was founded by eminent philanthropists Sri.LION.T.N.Palanisame.B.A.,MJF and Dr.P.V.Ravi.Ph.D. who are pioneering educators having unmatched rich experience in the field of education with belief that the continuous perusal of knowledge is the sole path to success.

The primary focus of the Institution is to expose the students to the world of technology, instilling in them confidence to face new challenges enabling them to shine in their chosen fields.

The College is recognized by the Government of Tamilnadu, approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE, New Delhi accredited our UG Programme in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering from 19th March 2004.

The ECE Department of Tamilnadu College of Engineering has consistently served as a genesis of engineers of excellent caliber in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering for more than a decade. It proudly savors the reputation of being one of the best departments in shaping the students for the field in which they are going to serve. As being one of the oldest Self financing institutions in this region, students of this ECE branch became entrepreneurs and corporate heads - the vivid reason being the splendid knowledge that the students are imparted with all facilities.
